Quality Professor Quotes, #2 and #3

#2

"Really, they're just getting off on the soil."

-My HCS 200 professor on soil scientists rubbing soil between their fingers to determine the texture

#3

My plant biology professor, in describing the random-mating part of Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (a state in which a species is not evolving), referenced the free love of the 60's and 70's. He went on to say: "now a drunken frat boy is looking for chicks, but the chicks want someone better looking, so there's not random mating." In other words, chicks are selective, so there is no random mating, thus our species is evolving.
